Mechanical Engineer + MBA, 62 years old, I sold my industrial company created in 1990 two years ago. For 34 years, I have travelled the world. In recent years, my company exported more than 65% of its turnover to more than 100 countries.
I have always been very active in the various societal bodies such as the Metallurgy Union, the Federation of Mechanical Industries, the Chamber of Commerce (President of the International Commission of the CCI of Lyon), the Foreign Trade Advisors of France (for 15 years), but also in several Trade Union Councils, which I have chaired regularly.
I now devote myself to my passion for classic cars, restoring and maintaining my modest collection myself in my workshop in the Lyon region.
Elected to the PG2 SC 3 years ago, I have tried to change certain dogmas and to soften the positions of the SC with regard to the work of owners, while preserving the spirit of PG. I have also been a source of proposals concerning safety in PG2, and in particular on the rue de la Giscle.
In addition, although I live on the Giscle, I have been particularly involved in the defence of the interests of all, during the pre-consultation and consultation concerning the end of the concessions, by being present at the meetings with the Town Hall, but also by publishing several contributions, including one described as an "expert contribution" relating to the suspension of the sand of the Giscle and the consequences of the chicanes (or dikes).
I am running for a second term with the project of actively participating in the revision and modernization of the statutes of our association (limitation of the number of consecutive mandates, postal voting, real power of the Union Council in decisions, ...). I also wish to contribute to the beautification and preservation of our heritage by continuing to be involved in the major works that we will present to you at the 2025 AGM.
I will also be involved in the search for the best solution for Port Grimaud in the conflict between us and the Grimaud City Hall.
I am of course at your disposal to discuss all these subjects, and many others.
Sincerely,
Philippe EYRAUD
